Playground borders are essential for creating safe and well-defined play spaces. These sturdy boundaries serve as a protective barrier, preventing loose materials like mulch or sand from spreading, maintaining a clean and hazard-free environment. Additionally, playground borders help contain safety surfacing materials, such as rubber mulch or wood chips, ensuring they remain in place and provide effective impact absorption.
Surfacing is the single biggest factor in playground injury outcomes. We install poured-in-place rubber, bonded rubber mulch, engineered wood fiber and synthetic turf, each specified to the critical fall height of the equipment above it.
Every installation is tested against ASTM F1292 impact attenuation and ASTM F1951 accessibility standards, and we can color-match or inlay logos, games and wayfinding into the surface.
